Zuerst wird auf den historischen Hintergrund eingegangen, die Gründe aufgeführt werden, die den Sprachkontakt begünstigten und Bedingungen genannt, unter denen er stattgefunden hat. Danach werden ausführlich die Veränderungen auf der lexikalischen Ebene in shape von Entlehnungen deutscher Herkunft dargestellt.

Es wird auch auf die Phasen der Entwicklung von Wörtern eingegangen.
